Rissa Mohabir Producer/Director of Trauma Awareness has 28 years experience of training home0paths and medical doctors in the UK and internationally, notably Serbia and Croatia (2000-2007). She pursued post graduate studies at Somatic Experiencing Trauma Institute in New York before returning to Bristol (UK) to launch her training programs for trauma service providers which was successfully piloted with Barnardo South Gloucs (2014) and Bristol Helpline (2015) and now delivers her training to refugee/related organisations.
Currently, Rissa Mohabir (Producer/Writer) is in partnership with Refugee Women of Bristol and Syrian women (VPR) Bute LGA in Scotland working together to produce short films and a series of publications A Life Journey-Impact of War on Women. The project was launched at Watershed Media & Cinema 2016 and presented at MShed On International Women's Day 2017. Rissa has been listed as one of the 50 inspirational women of Bristol to mark International Women's Day 2017.
